PROCEDURE FOR new Studies

 

         The Commission undertakes studies on reference by Government Departments,  Ministries, undertakings and agencies of the Government of India and State Government concerned on subjects mentioned in the Commission's terms of reference. They can refer issues for study by writing to the following address:

Communications may be addressed to the Chairman, Member-Secretary or Secretary of the Commission. Preliminary discussion preceding formal reference of a study can also be held by getting in touch with chief functionaries[1] of the Commission.

 

It is also accessible to all citizens and agencies. Groups and associations, companies and organizations, NGOs etc. They can approach the Commission with issues relating to its terms of reference. Studies are selected on the basis of general public relevance of the issue, the nature of the problem and the Commission's own action plan. Matters concerning costing, pricing, subsidy, trade and tariff in the manufacturing, agricultural and service sectors, which affect a broad spectrum of persons and companies, are given reference. Such issues can be raised with the Commission by addressing communication to Chairman, Member-Secretary or Secretary of the Commission.
